Nightwork is a writing workshop based in Brooklyn, New York and run by the writers Alec Niedenthal and Erinrose Mager. Classes are held virtually but may be held in person in the future.
Alec Niedenthal’s stories can be found in The Paris Review, The Drift, The Baffler, Joyland, and other venues, and his debut novel The Kaufmanns is forthcoming in July 2027 from Ecco in the US and Jonathan Cape in the UK. He has taught fiction writing at Brown University, where he received his MFA, and at the Center for Fiction.
Erinrose Mager’s work appears in Prelude, The Poetry Project’s The Recluse, DIAGRAM, jubilat, Fence, and elsewhere. She teaches at The Brooklyn Writers Foundry MFA Program at St. Joseph’s University in New York. Her first book Hot Fruit is forthcoming with Fonograf Editions in November 2026. A chapbook, Sequence, is forthcoming with Factory Hollow Press in 2027.
‘Nightwork’ gets its name from the book Nightwork by Christine Schutt.
